CCBS(C-DOT Cell Broadcast Solution)
A state-of-the-art Cell Broadcast based geo-targeted public alerting solution for instant dissemination of critical life-saving text+audio alerts in multiple languages to the mobile handsets of the public in the impacted regions. The solution provides a comprehensive technology stack for enabling Cell Broadcast (CB) services within 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G mobile networks, facilitating rapid and reliable dissemination of emergency alerts during disaster and public safety situations. It digitally bridges the authorities with the public through automated integration between centralized emergency Alerting Platforms and mobile networks for effective disaster communication. The solution is already integrated pan-India across all 36 States and Union Territories with all Indian Mobile Networks in 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G technologies covering over 1.43 billion citizens through more than 14.5 million telecom tower cells across the country covering interoperability with all major telecom equipment variants. Integrated with the National CAP-based Disaster Alerting Platform SACHET in India, the solution enables nationwide emergency communication capabilities for disaster management authorities and government agencies. Launched by Honourable Minister of Communications Shri. Jyotiraditya Scindia on 2nd May 2026, followed by the nationwide multi-lingual alert dissemination exercise across all telecom networks Pan-India, the solution is now being actively utilized by the disaster management authorities for dissemination of alerts in real disaster scenarios such as heat waves, cyclones and heavy rainfall.
